Euro women: Germany, Bühl misses the final

(ANSA) – WEMBLEY, 30 JUL – Absent in the semifinal of the women’s European football championship against France due to the positivity at Covid, the German winger Klara Bühl will also miss the final against England tomorrow, announced the coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg. “She has no symptoms, but if she is negative (Sunday) she will be in the stands”, explained the coach, excluding that she could go on the pitch after five days without training. “We will stick to the medical protocol, we owe it to Klara, we owe it to her club (Bayern Munich, ed), it is our responsibility and therefore it is not possible that she is in the group”, said the coach. At 21, Bühl was one of the revelations of this Euro for her dynamism and her speed on the left wing. In particular, she scored a goal against Spain (2-0) in the group stage and provided an assist for the debut against Austria (2-0), in the quarter-finals, a match in which she was voted the best player.
