Sports promotion bodies: “Disparity with FSN, explain Vezzali”

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 03 – “The months go by, the legislatures change, but the sports promotion bodies are forced, once again, to denounce the umpteenth difference in treatment reserved by the Government to our affiliates ASD and SSD”. Thus begins the note of the coordination of sports promotion bodies, after the publication dated 1 August by the Department for Sport of the methods and terms, defined with the DPCM of 30 June 2022, for the presentation of applications for the non-repayable grant in in favor of Associations and Sports Societies whose corporate purpose is the management of sports facilities, for a total amount of € 53,000,000.00.

“A concrete and appreciated help, were it not for the now habitual difference in treatment reserved to Eps compared to Federations – continues the note -. As we read from article 3, letter b of the Prime Ministerial Decree in question, among the objective prerequisites for having access to the contribution it is necessary ‘to have a number of members, at the bodies referred to in Article 2, paragraph 1, at the date of publication of this decree, equal to at least 200 units if registered with EPS or 30 units if registered with FSN’ “.

“An evident disparity in treatment of which we ask Undersecretary Valentina Vezzali for an explanation, who regrets it, because it is only the latest in an already long list of injustices we have suffered”. For the Eps, therefore, “it is time to say enough” and the request is for “respect and equal treatment because since the beginning of the pandemic we have been the glue between sports clubs and institutions”.

Finally, the invitation for Undersecretary Vezzali: “Put an end to all this”. (HANDLE).
