(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 03 AUG – Radiomercato had already given it at the start. And instead Marko Rog, Croatian midfielder bought by Napoli three seasons ago, remains at Cagliari: the contract extension until 2026 has been formalized. The decision was in the air for a long time: the requests were many, but Rog chose to stay to try to bring the team back to Serie A immediately after the relegation last May.
Rog had suffered a crusader injury in the rossoblù second season. Then the surgery and the recovery, but the crusader broke again during the preparation for last season. Rog had managed to return to the field in the final of last season. After relegation to Serie B, the departure seemed obvious with Sampdoria getting closer than everyone else. But now Rog has decided: he remains at Cagliari also in B. (ANSA).
