Coppa Italia: two-day disqualification to Pharaohs of Verona

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 09 – Two players have been disqualified by the sports judge, Alessandro Zampone, in relation to the matches of the 32nd of the Italian Cup final. In particular, two days of stoppage and a warning were given to Marco Faraoni of Verona, who had been expelled “for misconduct against an opponent and for hitting an opponent with a slap in the neck”. A day of disqualification was reserved for the Bari player Valerio Di Cesare, who was warned.

A series of fines have hit some clubs: 10 thousand euros at Verona “for having its supporters chanting offensive chants of territorial denigration against the supporters of the opposing team”; five thousand euros to La Spezia “to have its supporters singing boorish choirs from other supporters”; three thousand euros in Como for the launch of a glass bottle in the field: one thousand euros in Bari for the launch of two firecrackers.
