European swimming: Razzetti, Matteazzi and the 4×200 sl in the final

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 11 – The European swimming championships have started in Rome with the first blue passes for the semifinals and finals in the afternoon. Thomas Ceccon was ‘satisfied’ with a time of 23.38 in the sixth and last heat, fifth overall time, in the 50 butterfly. “A comfortable time”, defined the swimmer who also sees Piero Codia advance with a time of 23.28, not too far from the staff. Outside, however, the other blues: Lorenzo Gargani and Matteo Rivolta.

All relatively easy for Alberto Razzetti and Pier Andrea Matteazzi in the 400 mixed heats. The two Azzurri managed their qualifying match for the afternoon’s final well, while Nicolò Martinenghi and Federico Poggio did not disappoint in the 100 breaststroke men, both in the semifinals.

Excluding Simone Cerasuolo and Andrea Castello. The two blue 4×200 freestyle (men and women) access the finals this afternoon. No problem in the women’s 200 backstrokes for the two Italians in the race, Federica Toma and Margherita Panziera, both take off the pass for the afternoon semifinals, while Simona Quadarella and Martina Caramignoli pass the preliminary heats and tomorrow they will compete in the 800 freestyle final. Second place in artistic swimming for Linda Cerruti who will go hunting for a medal in the final on Sunday. (HANDLE).
