(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 14 – Debut with the Ajax shirt at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam for the 21-year-old Italian under-21 striker Lorenzo Lucca, the first Italian to wear the red and white shirt of the Amsterdam team, which today overwhelmed 6-1 against Groningen in an Eredivisie match.

Lucca entered in the 24th minute of the second half in place of Brian Brobbey, the forward that Ajax bought back from Leipzig.

The great protagonist of the match was Bergwijn, who scored a hat-trick, but the Brazilian ex San Paolo Antony gave the show, who delighted the audience on several occasions and created a ‘Golaço’. Berghuis also scored for the Amsterdam team from a penalty, and 20-year-old Taylor.

But today Lucca was not the only Italian to tread the grass of the Cruijff Arena. In fact, in Groningen the 18-year-old attacking midfielder Luciano Valente, a player who is also part of Italy under 19 and who, next year, could end up in Ajax, who has been following him for some time, entered the game in the running.
