Equitation: Paralympic World Championships, Morganti wins gold

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 14 – Sara Morganti, riding Royal Delight, is freestyle world champion in Paralympic dressage for the third consecutive time. After Caen 2014 (silver in technical and gold in freestyle), Tryon 2018 (gold in technical and freestyle), the Italian rider today conquered the highest step of the podium at the World Championships in Herning (Denmark). Therefore, the party at the Azzurri continues after the silver obtained by Sara and Royal last Wednesday in the technical test, after the bronze conquered in the pas de deux of vaulting and after the Paralympic qualification obtained by the Italians yesterday in the team competition. Sara and Royal Delight, penultimate to enter the rectangle for grade I, scored a percentage of 80,653 &. The last obstacle to the most precious metal remained, therefore, Richards Snikus who, just last Wednesday in the saddle of King of the Dance and in front of Sara Morganti, had won the gold in the technician. The Latvian rider was unable, however, to overcome the blue score today and finished with 78,400% with silver around his neck.

Bronze for Irishman Michael Murphy on Cleverboy (78.387%).
