Agcom asks Dazn for clarification and compensation

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 15 – Agcom intervenes on the ‘serious disruptions’ recorded yesterday in the broadcasting of Serie A matches by Dazn, which has been awarded the rights to broadcast the matches of the Italian football championship.

The Authority for Guarantees in Communications makes it known in a note that it has asked the streaming platform for ‘urgent clarification’ on what has happened and ‘to promptly provide for the compensation provided for in the last resolution of the Authority’.

‘Following the serious inefficiencies recorded during the broadcasting of football matches on the first day of the Serie A championship and the numerous reports received – reads the note from the Authority – Agcom urgently asked Dazn for clarification on what happened and on how the company is working to avoid the repetition of inefficiencies on the occasion of the next day ‘.

‘Agcom – continues the note – also asked Dazn to swiftly provide the compensation provided for by the last resolution adopted by the Authority. Agcom reserves the right, following the in-depth analysis and its own evaluations, to adopt any initiative that will become necessary ‘. (HANDLE).
