Boxing: it’s ‘fever’ for Usyk-Joshua, tickets for 5,000 euros

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 16 – Never before has the definition “the match of the year” not been an exaggeration. At 23.54 on Saturday, at least this is the time indicated by the organizers, Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, two London 2012 Olympic champions (at the expense, in the final, of the blues Russo and Cammarelle) will enter the ring of the ‘Superdome’ of Jeddah then they also went a long way in professional boxing. They will face each other for the Wba, Ibf and Wbo heavyweight world titles, and it will be a rematch, that of the September 2021 match at the Tottenham stadium where the Ukrainian dethroned the British.

Precisely for Usyk this meeting will have a particular flavor: enlisted to fight against the Russians after the invasion of his country, he joined a particular militia, but then he was dispensed because the Ukrainian government had considered that the cause of the nation was more useful to fight Joshua again, to focus the world’s attention on the drama of Ukraine. For which Usyk has been granted, free of charge, the television rights of the match, which therefore everyone will be able to see in his country, while in Italy there will be live coverage on Dazn.

A mega-bag of $ 60 million each was secured for this meeting, but it seems Joshua will receive another 30 for agreeing to travel to Saudi Arabia.

In the meantime, it ran for the last remaining tickets, which are the ringside ones: prices range from 3,300 to 5,100 dollars (from 3,250 to 5,000 euros approximately). (HANDLE).
