European Athletics, Folorunso in the final in the 400hs, Desalu is there

The morning of the fourth day at the European Championships in Munich gives the final to Ayomide Folorunso in the 400hs: the Italian record holder enters the top eight with 54.98 and will be back on track tomorrow for the decisive round. Tonight, however, it is already time for the semifinals for the Olympic champion of the relay Fausto Desalu in the 200 meters, after having passed the morning heats with a good impression, best time in 20.46 (-0.6).
Diego Pettorossi (20.65 / + 0.3) also enters the semifinal, a round from which Filippo Tortu will begin, expected at 20.29 in the third of the three semifinals, side by side with the British Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake that the blue reassembled in the memorable final stage of the 4×100 at the Tokyo Olympics.
The other positive note of the morning session is Simone Barontini’s passage to the semifinals with the second time in the 800 meters (1: 45.98). Next also Elena Bellò who suffers in the final hundred meters and has to resort to the repechage times to enter the semifinals in the 800 (2: 01.80), promoted to Irene Siragusa in the 200 meters with 23.36 (+0.5): tonight the semifinal, from which she will start Dalia Kaddari, while Vittoria Fontana will not be there, this morning out with 23.63 (+0.3). Sveva Gerevini goes back to twelfth place in the heptathlon with 5102 points, when only the final 800 meters are missing. Among the other Azzurri, the hurdlers José Bencosme and Mario Lambrughi, both 49.50 in the 400hs, were eliminated, as was Rebecca Sartori (57.29). Out of Catalin Tecuceanu (1: 47.94) and Eloisa Coiro (2: 04.36) in the 800, eliminated also the hedges Martina Merlo (10: 12.13 after a fall) and Laura Dalla Montà (10: 28.20), and the rider Max Mandusic with three nulls at the input measure of 5.3o. Eleven blues in the evening session, from 20.05, with the great expectation for the final of Gianmarco Tamberi in the top, together with Marco Fassinotti. Finals also for Larissa Iapichino (long), Nadia Battocletti (5000) and Pietro Arese (1500).
