(ANSA) – MONACO, 25 AUG – Monaco has negotiated with the Italian left-back, Antonio Barreca, 27, the termination of the last year of his contract. Barreca, who renounced part of his engagement to agree to the termination, is now free to engage with Cagliari, the Serie B club with which he is in talks.
Monaco had signed a five-year contract to the former Under-21 international, sold for 10 million euros in the summer of 2018 by Turin. But Barreca has never won in the Principality, where he has only played 9 games in all competitions.
After being loaned to Newcastle in England from January to June 2019, he then went on loan to Genoa in 2019-2020, Fiorentina in 2020-2021 and last season at Lecce. (HANDLE).
