Fiorentina drew 0-0 in Enschede, against Twente, in the return of the Conference League playoffs and qualified for the group stage of the Uefa tournament. In the first leg the Viola had beaten the Dutch 2-1.
There are no clarifications in Enschede, by the local authorities, on the number and generalities of the Fiorentina thioses who were injured during the incidents of late yesterday evening, in the city center, between hooligans of Twente and purple supporters. Some people had been taken away in an ambulance, but it is still not known who and how many there are.
The ultras met with kicks and punches, with the throwing of chairs and sticks. All this caused the destruction of the benches and dehors of the restaurants in the oaraggi, and several shop windows were also shattered. So now the mayor of Enschede, to prevent new incidents, has ordered an ordinance according to which Fiorentina fans, most of whom stay in the Interciyt Hotel, near the station, must be escorted directly to the stadium by the police, without being able to pass through the city center, which has been banned for them, to avoid disturbances and allow the race to run smoothly.
