(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 27 – The first day of the women’s Serie A 2022-’23, the season that inaugurates the transition to professionalism for the players of the Italian top league, opens with the success of Juventus on the Como field. The reigning Italian champions win the match against the Lombard team and hit the first three points in the tournament. At the ‘Ferruccio Trabattoni’ in Seregno, the competitive spirit of the eleven from Montemurro brings them the lead after just seven minutes: Picchi lands Caruso in his own area, the referee points to the spot and just on a penalty Cristiana Girelli unlocks the score, signing the her eighth goal from a penalty in the last three seasons of Serie A (in this period no player in the competition has more goals than her from eleven meters).
