Don't miss

two months before the World Cup, should we be worried about the results of the Blues?

Two months before the World Cup, the Blues did not shine against Denmark. A 2-0 defeat, marked by shortcomings and dysfunctions. Nothing to lose hope, because if Didier Deschamps selected many young players on Sunday, the pillars of the team, like Lloris or Benzema, were absent but will be there in November, in Qatar.

The France team is really going through a bad patch. After their 2-0 defeat Sunday evening against Denmark for their last meeting two months before the World Cup, the conclusion is clear: the Blues have completely missed this match. So certainly, many incumbents were injured, but the French above all showed worrying shortcomings. It is therefore difficult to be optimistic on Monday morning, especially after the promising victory Thursday against Austria. But for this match against Denmark, nothing or almost nothing worked.

A context weighed down by controversy

The young and experimental defense took on water from all sides. The middle was overtaken by speed and Danish sequences. The attackers had very few balls to score. Zero for Giroud, barely more for Mbappé, but the PSG star was not having a good night. It was the last game before the World Cup, the last opportunity to shine before Qatar. No one scored points. All in a context weighed down by business and controversy.

But we can still continue to believe in a good World Cup for the Blues, for several reasons. Firstly because Didier Deschamps will inevitably recover fundamental players, captain Hugo Lloris in the lead, with more experience, calm, rigor, requirement.

And then the Blues could join Qatar with a Ballon d’Or on the plane: Karim Benzema, absent last night. The Real striker is the number one contender to succeed Lionel Messi on the list, which could boost the whole group. If the planets align again, the France team will come forward as one of the favorites of this World Cup.
