Jacques Vendroux rewarded by Fifa for covering his 15th World Cup

And 15! Journalist and sports columnist for Europe 1 Jacques Vendroux was rewarded on Tuesday in Doha for having covered nearly 15 World Cups. A sentimental reward for the journalist, who intends to bring all his know-how to cover the event in Qatar with rigor.

It is a record longevity which was hailed this Tuesday by Fifa in Doha, Qatar. On the strength of his career, sports journalist Jacques Vendroux was decorated by the organization on the occasion of his 15th World Cup. “The ceremony was extraordinary”, book on Europe 1 the journalist of the blue house. “There were many, many people. In memory of Thierry Roland

“I enjoy every moment. But I can’t help but think of my first competition. It was in 1966 with Thierry Roland in England, when the English beat the Germans 4-2. I was doing the sheets, the little sheets of Thierry Roland who never read anything, so as not to hide anything from you”, he quips. From the height of his many years of experience, Jacques Vendroux still intends to exercise his profession with high standards, to satisfy the listeners of Europe 1.
