Video message from the NFL superstar: Football professional Tom Brady is retiring

Superstar quarterback Tom Brady has ended his illustrious career as an NFL pro for the second time. “Hey guys, I want to get straight to the point. I’m quitting,” the most successful football player in history said in a nearly one-minute video on Twitter on Wednesday. He thanked him for being able to live his absolute dream. Then his voice faltered. Just over two weeks ago, Brady was eliminated by the 14:31 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL playoffs.

After leaving last season, Brady had already declared his incomparable career with a total of seven victories in the Super Bowl over. 40 days later, the now 45-year-old athlete changed his mind and decided to play in the Buccaneers jersey for another year. Now he stressed that his decision was final.

After a total of 23 years in the best football league in the world, it should be over. “I know it was a pretty big deal last time,” Brady said. He had obviously found a spot on the beach for his video message, and there was a strong wind in the background.

US media had recently speculated about the end of his career, but a change to another team also seemed possible. He is now denied the hoped-for eighth Super Bowl triumph, but his seven rings for six wins with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in February 2021 are already a record and will remain so for years to come – no other still active professional in the NFL comes to more than three.
