(ANSA) – CROTONE, 29 OCT – Francesco Modesto is no longer the coach of Crotone. In its place comes Pasquale Marino.
The club decided late in the evening to sack the coach after the home defeat against Benevento. Modesto’s adventure ends after just 10 days during which he obtained seven points that place Crotone at the bottom of the ranking. It will be up to Pasquale Marino to relaunch the season. The Marsala coach has signed a contract that will tie him to the rossoblù club until 30 June 2022, with an option for the following season. Marino, a highly experienced coach with over 600 professional benches, in the past has coached – among others – Catania, Udinese, Parma, Genoa, and in the last three seasons Spezia, Empoli and Spal.
“We consider Mr. Modesto a serious and extremely prepared coach, but the results require us to think that is necessary to give an immediate change to the season. We are deeply convinced that Marino will give us the experience and the skills to immediately reverse the course” is the comment of the president Gianni Vrenna. (HANDLE).
