Kombouaré: “Juventus are a monument, but Nantes are hungry”

“We will have a double match against Juventus, they are a monument of football: they are one of the favorites in the race for the trophy, but we are very hungry to win.” The Nantes coach, Antoine Kombouaré, thus launches the challenge against the black and whites. “We are aware that we have two games available, we will have to do our best in the second leg – adds the French coach – because at home we will have the twelfth man on our side, represented by the fans”. Nantes, inevitably, did not start with the favors of the forecast: “The challenge is already in the pocket for the bianconeri, at least on paper – admits the coach – because they are stronger than us and have great experience, but we will give it our all” .

The team united around Ignatius Ganago, forced to forfeit to return to Cameroon due to the death of his five-year-old daughter: “We are all by his side, we play for us and for him – concludes Kombouaré – and we thought about it a lot: tomorrow we’ll focus on the match, then we’ll come back and be close to him.” Moussa Sissoko is among the most experienced players at Nantes: “It’s not a game like any other, Juve are a great team but they have strengths and weaknesses like everyone” commented the midfielder. He is a national teammate of Pogba and Rabiot: “I haven’t had the opportunity to hear from him recently, unfortunately he had an unlucky season due to all these injuries – replies the 1989 class – while I don’t feel like advising Adrien whether to stay or not at Juve, it’s a decision he has to make.”
