(ANSA) – BARI, OCTOBER 30 – A mural on the wall of the Guaccero middle school in Palo del Colle, in the Bari area, dedicated to fellow Olympic champion Massimo Stano was inaugurated today by the mayor Tommaso Amendolara, accompanied by students and by Stano himself.
The mural, created by the Municipality in collaboration with the urban laboratory Rigenera, portrays the walker crossing the finish line in Tokyo on 5 August last. To celebrate the champion, the Municipality organized events throughout the week, involving the city’s sports associations and schools. The six days of appointments with and for Massimo Stano will end tomorrow with the national cross-country running championships which will be held in Palo del Colle with the athletes’ shirts all autographed by the champion.
