“Everything has changed! Enough!” Usyk made a sharp statement about the fight with Fury
The manager of Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) said that the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion against Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) should take place exclusively on April 29. Egis Klimas is tired of the constant games of the British WBC title holder and the Ukrainian team does not intend to consider other dates.
According to Klimas, in the event of another condition from Fury or refusal to fight on April 29, Alexander of that date will hold a mandatory defense with any contender.
“Things have changed, Top Rank has gotten into it more, but not too much. They still treat Usyk the same way they treat Derek Chisor or Dillian White. They act like it’s a regular Fury fight in the UK, and everything should be by his rules,” snac.com quotes the Lithuanian American.
Klimas is aware of the popularity of the Gypsy King in his country, but also is not going to underestimate the achievement of his client, well known to British fans after defeating Anthony Joshua twice.
“We’re going to wait because they’re hiring a British lawyer right now, as they operate under British rules. We’re outsiders, but we can’t just take everything that’s offered to us. Enough!” Klimas said.
Aegis is fed up with Fury’s ever-changing demands.
“Tomorrow he will come up with something else. For example, that you can’t fight with your right hand. We don’t know what will happen next with this guy,” said Klimas.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, on March 10, Fury delivered a tough ultimatum to Usyk’s team. A native of Manchester demanded 70% of the fee for the fight, and also said that he would add one percent to himself for every day until the signing of the contract.
Alexander immediately agreed to the conditions of the British, putting forward a pro-Ukrainian demand.
In response, Tyson came up with a new requirement, offering our compatriot to exclude the revenge clause from the contract for the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.
After this, British boxing fans massively criticized their compatriot for delaying negotiations on organizing a duel between Usyk and Fury.
