The famous figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova threw a new tantrum over the removal of Russian athletes from world sports. This time, she was outraged by the non-admission of the national team of the aggressor country to the 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship.
Tarasova herself stated this in an interview with the RB Sport portal, commenting on the new sanctions of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). She called the world championship without Russia a parody of a major tournament, namely, the decision of the organization to be a real barbarity, forgetting about the war crimes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
“There’s nothing to talk about here! There can’t be a World Hockey Championship without the Russian team. This is a parody of a big tournament. If people with the IIHF want their sport to degrade further, then good luck. How can you play hockey without Russia”? This is barbarism,” Tarasova said.
Earlier, two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov called the European allies of Ukraine bedbugs and fleas due to Russia’s suspension from the Ice Hockey World Cup.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, legendary hockey goalie Vladislav Tretiak expressed outrage over Russia’s exclusion from international competition, saying that “no Ukrainian was touched” in his country.
