Crazy column: How cycling affects the risk of skin cancer

Human skin is a marvel of nature. It protects us from all sorts of mischief and, if the worst comes to the worst, it also regenerates itself. As a cyclist, you know that. If some skin suddenly remains on the asphalt after involuntary contact with the ground, it usually only takes a short time for the wound to heal again has closed. However, if you ask too much of the skin as an organ, it refuses to regenerate and then it can become problematic.
