The French Fencing Federation announced its refusal to host the Fencing World Cup, which is scheduled for May 19-21 this year. Thus, one of Ukraine’s allies reacted to the admission of Russians and Belarusians to international tournaments in this sport.
This is the official website of the FFF. “Due to the impossibility of complying with the requirements of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) for the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the stage of the Men’s Fencing World Cup, scheduled for May 19-21 in Saint-Maur-de-Fosse, the French Fencing Federation announces cancellation of the tournament in 2023,” the statement said.

Earlier, Germany and Finland distinguished themselves by a similar boycott. In addition, Ukrainian fencers will not participate in competitions where representatives of the aggressor countries will perform.
Recall that the FIE banned Ukrainian symbols at the Grand Prix in South Korea, banning support for our country.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, the first vice-president of the Russian Fencing Federation (FFR) Oleg Lavrichev once again visited the occupied territory of Ukraine, and also posed with the symbol of aggression “Z” together with the military from the Russian Federation.
