The leadership of the Brazilian football club “Vasco da Gama” rejected the offer of Shakhtar Donetsk to buy midfielder Eginaldo. The Ukrainian team offered 2 million euros (11.1 million reais), reports Globo.
According to media reports, the parties did not agree on the price, since Vasco da Gama initially demanded 6 million euros (33.3 million reais) from the Pitmen. Eguinaldo’s contract runs until August 2027.

The 18-year-old played in 18 games last year (10 as a starter) and scored three goals. However, this season he is used less: only eight games (of which only one in the starting lineup) and one assist.

In a recent interview, base manager Carlos Brasil said he had a conversation with Eguinaldo during the Carioca championship bout. According to Brazil, the midfielder admitted that he could not wait to go to the games.
Another reason why Eginaldo is in no hurry to leave his homeland is his family. The football player and his girlfriend will soon have a boy.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, earlier Shakhtar signed a new contract with defender Mykola Matvienko, refusing to let him go to a foreign club.
