The undefeated ex-world champion reviewed the Lomachenko-Haney fight and came to a “different result”

Former undisputed world champion Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) Shakur Stevenson admitted that he changed his mind about his result in the fight between Devin Haney and Vasily Lomachenko. First, after the fight between Vasily and Devin, Stevenson entered the ring, where he called Loma the clear winner.

A few days later, the 25-year-old Newark native rewatched the Las Vegas battle and now believes it should have been a draw or a very subtle victory for the Ukrainian.

“I just went back and looked at it and I came up with a different result than last time. To be honest, I think it’s either a draw or Lomachenko 7-5. Before that, I was 8-4 in favor of Loma,” Stevenson is quoted by Boxing-social.com.

No wonder Stevenson has already watched this fight twice in Las Vegas as he could be next in line to fight Haney.

Shakur was already world featherweight and super lightweight champion, and many in boxing believe it’s only a matter of time before he adds (maybe a few) belts to his collection already in the lightweight division.

In April, Stevenson made his lightweight debut by defeating Shuichiro Yoshino (16-1, 12 KOs) at home. This meeting ended with an early technical knockout.
