“Together we will see the light and win this war.” Svitolina gave Ukraine all the money she earned for winning the tournament in Strasbourg

The famous Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (No. 508 WTA), after winning the final of the WTA 250 tournament in Strasbourg with a prize fund of $ 259,000, announced that she would give all the prize money won here to the Motherland. During a flash interview, the 28-year-old from Odessa admitted that she would donate funds to Ukrainian children who are going through hard times.

Svitolina also expressed her deep gratitude to France for its incredible work related to the help of Ukrainians.

“Thank you to France for helping Ukrainians feel like they are in their second home. Thank you for what you are doing for us. Together we will see the light and win this war. Thank you very much,” Svitolina said, adding in her native language “Glory Ukraine!”

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, in the decisive match, Elina convincingly defeated 24-year-old Muscovite Anna Blinkova (No. 66 WTA) – 6:2, 6:3.

Earlier, Svitolina ran into the leadership of world tennis due to the fact that she continues to pretend that Russia did not attack Ukraine and is not waging an aggressive war on the territory of our country.
