Powerful performance of the student team of Ukraine at the start of the European Open School Combat Games. The first day

The competitions of the European Martial Arts Games began on May 30 and will last until June 3 at the sports arenas in Belgrade (Serbia). Ukraine will be represented by 246 students from all regions. They will compete in five sports: Greco-Roman and free wrestling, judo, sambo and taekwondo PTF.

Already on the first day of the competition, the Ukrainians “subtly” hinted: they came for the first team place and are not going to give it to anyone!

Eat:

– Taekwondo PTF – 13 medals: 9 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze

– sambo – 18 medals: 5 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze

– Greco-Roman wrestling – 14 medals: 5 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze

– free wrestling – 15 medals: 6 gold, 6 silver, 3 bronze

– women’s wrestling – 15 medals: 6 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze

– judo – 7 medals: 3 silver, 4 bronze.

Vadim Stetsenko, head of the delegation, head of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine: “Together with the Ukrainian Federation of Student Sports, we have done a lot of work to ensure that there are no Russians and Belarusians here. I am grateful to the European and International Federation of Student Sports for the relevant decisions. As for our team, our Ukrainian students-athletes are very strong. We expect a good result, because we are prepared. Despite a very difficult road, our students demonstrate a high level.”
