Taekwondo world champion Lilia Khuzina complained about the new bans imposed by the international federation on Russian athletes. In particular, representatives of the aggressor country are not even allowed to be photographed with awards against the backdrop of national symbols.
Khuzina stated this in a commentary to the TASS propaganda news agency. She added that she tries not to take into account these conditions. The athlete, who won gold at the 2023 World Championships in Baku, added that she did not sign any documents.
“Upon arrival in Russia, we should not associate World Cup medals with national attributes – a flag, an anthem. It is impossible to have a flag or even a uniform with country attributes in the background. I didn’t sign anything, I was simply told in words what not to do. I tried take it easy. The main thing is that the task is completed,” Khuzina said.
It should be noted that after the World Championship, the Russian Taekwondo Federation included the federation of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, President of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) Vladislav Tretyak demanded that the aggressor country be returned to international competitions, since “sport is the ambassador of the world.”
