(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 13 – A Serie C football championship entirely dedicated to the disabled, which sees the involvement of all 60 teams of the Lega Pro. This is the idea launched by the president of the Lega Pro, Francesco Ghirelli, during the conference organized by the Lega Pro in collaboration with Reggiana and Feralpisalò, which was held today in the Aula Magna of the UNIMORE University of Reggio Emilia in which, among others, the Minister for Disabilities, Erika Stefani, the president of the Emilia Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, Carmelo Salerno, president of Reggiana and the President of Feralpisalò Giuseppe Pasini.
“The Feralpisalò and Reggiana projects dedicated to the disabled must also be a stimulus to the other Serie C teams because they bring value to the territory in terms of social growth” said Ghirelli. “My greatest aspiration would be to have a championship with 60 fourth-tier teams, we will work to make this happen. Ours is a local football, Serie C can play an important role in social development and in the education of young people, especially after the wound caused by the cursed virus. In addition, the PNRR is also asking us to do so, to start afresh from young people and to promote cohesion and integration projects “.
