In the setting of the Dubai Expo, on the eve of Italy’s national day at the Universal Exposition, two great news are announced: the new logo of the centenary of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monza is presented, the only circuit where runs that has been in business for a century. For the occasion, the new logo in the shape of the Monza circuit, with the flag of Italy, was presented by the President of the Italian Automobile Club (ACI), Angelo Damiano Sticchi. The logo was defined as beautiful and representative of Italy by Valentina Vezzali, Undersecretary for Sport.
2022 will be a special year for F1 in Italy because beyond the centenary of the Monza circuit, Imola will host the second Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, as announced by Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, with CONI president Giovanni Malagò, during the 100 years of Monza panel and the Made in Italy GP. Italy is doubly world excellence in Motorsport.
“We are the only Italians to have two Grands Prix, as an Italian I am proud, because the racetracks represent Italy, but they must also be the foundation of our future.” We have to look ahead, “said the Formula 1 CEO Domenicali. Also present at the panel in the Italian Pavilion at Expo dedicated to Sport was Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, who speaking on the stage of the panel said: “Formula 1 is an important showcase. A heritage to be exploited to look forward, but these events are also a great marketing opportunity, because they transform what revolves around Monza and Mugello into an opportunity to promote Made in Italy “.
