(ANSA) – LONDON, 05 JAN – Harry Kane is “fully involved” in the Tottenham project. Coach Antonio Conte is sure of this, after the missed transfer of the Manchester City striker last summer. “I knew the situation this summer and, when Harry decided to stay at Tottenham. Now I have found a player fully committed to this project”, explained Conte in a press conference ahead of the first leg of the League Cup tonight, against Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge.
The Citizens had made Kane their number one target to fill the center-forward position and were ready to shell out more than 120 million euros to recruit the captain of the English selection. “I am happy to have him in the team because he is certainly a top player, one of the best strikers in the world – continued Conte – If we want to win something or if we want to build something, Harry must be the starting point”.
