The squad of soccer teams is 25 players, on which to calculate the percentage of positive players for the new Covid protocol: this was established – as ANSA learns – by the FIGC. Consequently, the limit that triggers the stop to the whole team is nine positive players.

The new anti-Covid protocol, approved by the CTS and formalized by the circular of the Ministry of Health, in fact provides that with a number of positive athletes up to 35%, or infected, they are placed in isolation and close contacts are subjected to antigenic swabs for five days. , with one to 4 hours from the race; on the other hand, once the 35% threshold of positive athletes is exceeded, the whole team group is blocked.

The Federation has to define the “athletes group”, and the FIGC has decided to refer to its previous regulations: for the Serie A, B and C teams, the “athletes group” is 25 players. The 35% threshold is therefore exceeded at the ninth positivity.
