‘Duckling Dinosaur’ Found in Crocodile’s Stomach

Australian scientists have discovered a new species of giant crocodile, whose last meal could be a dinosaur

The 2.5-meter long prehistoric monster, nicknamed the “Broken Dinosaur Killer”, was discovered on a sheep farm in the outback of Queensland.

It is believed to be over 95 million years old, and the remains of a young small dinosaur were found in its stomach, writes ABC News.

These are the first ornithopod skeletal remains, recorded in this region, and the first evidence that crocodiles fed on dinosaurs in Australia.

The discovery suggests that dinosaurs were an important part of the Cretaceous food web, nor were they the pinnacle.

Ornithopods, small herbivores with beaks and cheeks full of teeth, roamed the earth over 100 million years ago.

They were cute little dinosaurs. slightly larger than chicken, which weighed about 1.2 kg. In a way, they looked like ducklings. Scientists will continue to look for crocodile fossils.
