The Japanese created an eco-robot-pot with tentacles: why is it needed

The Japanese corporation Panasonic presented its unusual development – a small eco-robot called Umoz

Moss robot is looking for the best places for indoor plants

The main task of the robot is to make the house or office more green and friendly, while it looks like a pot for a houseplant.

The device independently moves around the room on its tiny tentacle legs, writes gagadget.

It seems that the inspiration for its developers was Hayao Miyazaki’s science fiction films. The outer part of the robot is covered with moss, which is widespread in Japan. But the main feature lies in the smart functions.

Moving, the robot is looking for comfortable conditions for the plant. For example, in sunny weather he will find shade, and in wet fog it will be as mobile and active as possible – such conditions are favorable for moss.

The developers claim that Umoz eco-robots can live comfortably in private, work and public spaces. The main condition is to water regularly.

By the way, we wrote earlier that the robot turned to a person on the street for help. An unusual incident occurred in Estonia.
