(ANSA) – MILAN, 04 MAR – Google has established a program for the return to office of employees in the United States. This was reported by Cnbc, which obtained a communication sent by the company to workers via email. The week chosen for the return to the headquarters would be the one that begins on April 4th. For the first time, the staff will be three days in the office and two in smart working. “It’s been a long and hard two years since most of you started working from home,” writes John Casey, vice president of Google’s global benefits division. “But the advances in prevention and treatment, the regular reduction in cases we continue to see, and the security enhancements we have implemented in our Bay Area offices give us the ability to begin the transition to the hybrid workweek.” Previously, the giant had expected a return to US offices on January 10, but the surge in cases due to the Omicron variant had caused the decision to be postponed. From April, fully vaccinated staff will not be required to wear masks or swabs. The bars, restaurants, massage centers, shuttles and other internal services will also reopen. As Google explains, it is possible to continue working completely remotely, with requests to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. According to Cnbc estimates, out of 156,000 full-time employees, 14,000 will still remain in smart working. (HANDLE).
