This is the data from Trend Micro Research’s ‘Navigating new frontiers’ report. Regarding Italy, the total number of malware intercepted in 2021 was over 60 million (62,371,693), in 2020 there were over 22 million; 6,861 attacks received by our country. The e-mail threats that hit our country were 336,431,403, the malicious sites hosted in Italy and blocked were 269,383; while the number of malicious apps downloaded was 51,103, finally the unique online banking malware intercepted were 3,478.
