Oukitel recently unveiled a slightly different smartphone. The WP13 Dual 5G Rugged Phone has the particularity of resisting shocks and drops, but also of being able to take the temperature of any object. It is currently offered at a discount on two Chinese stores, Banggood and Aliexpress.
With a price set between € 183.03 for Aliexpress with the discount code WP13ZB and € 200.38 for Banggood with the code BGOTWP13.
Oukitel WP13, a smartphone built to last
The Oukitel WP13 falls into the category of rugged smartphones and it has therefore been designed for all people looking for a device resistant enough to accompany them on hikes or even on construction sites.
The manufacturer has indeed been quite far and the device has no less than three certifications: IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810G. It will therefore be able to withstand water, dust, immersion, extreme temperatures or even shocks and falls.
But there is more interesting: the technical sheet. Oukitel was pretty smart and his device offered a lot of key functions. The screen, for example, reaches a diagonal of 6.52 inches and it can display HD + definition. The SoC, on the other hand, is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 and the latter is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. As a bonus, we also have a nice 5280 mAh battery compatible with 18 W fast charging and a facial recognition system, not to mention the traditional fingerprint reader.
And a thermometer as a bonus
But that’s not all. The Oukitel WP13 also supports 5G, with most of the usual bands. You can refer to this site to find out if the phone will be able to connect to your operator’s network.
However, its real peculiarity comes from this additional sensor. An infrared sensor that will be able to measure the temperature of the object or person you are pointing the phone at.
For example, it will be possible to measure your own temperature or even that of your loved ones, but also that of your dishes. However, the sensor cannot exceed 60 ° C.
