If the Pixels have always excelled in many areas, including photography, there was one in particular where they lagged behind their competitors: charging. Compatible with 18 W, they lagged behind many other smartphones.
This should change with the new generation, however.
Faster charging on the Pixel 6 Pro
XDA Developers has indeed spotted a listing while researching Taiwan. A listing evoking the Pixel 6 Pro and revealing the power of its charge. If the document is authentic, the device should thus reach 33 W of power. A significant gain compared to the previous generation and which should allow us to considerably reduce the charging time of the phone.
A phone that should also go quite far in this area. If the rumors are true, the Pixel 6 Pro should indeed be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. We therefore understand what would have pushed Google to increase the power of its load. With 18 W and such a capacity, it would have taken several hours to restore color to the device.
For now, we do not know if the Pixel 6 will be entitled to the same attention. We will therefore have to wait for the official announcement, an announcement expected for next month and therefore for a few weeks.
A lot of new things on the program
Remember that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro should bring many notable new features. A new design, of course, but not only. Google has indeed equipped its new phones with a house chip called Tensor. A chip of which we do not know anything yet, the company not having stopped on its technical sheet.
