Yesterday, detailed images of Russian military installations were discussed on the Web, which Google allegedly stopped hiding on their maps.
But the American company assured that the images were available on Google maps long before the war in Ukraine.
“We haven’t made any changes to our satellite imagery in Russia,” said Google spokeswoman Genevieve Park, quoted by theverge.com.
Google often blurs its maps of potentially important areas, including military installations. Wikipedia even has a list of such places.
