(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 05 – TikTok is opening up a new way for content creators to monetize their posts. The company launched Pulse, a program that allows those with more than 100,000 followers to post photos and videos alongside advertisements from brands and service companies. In this way, the audience of interest will be extended and so will the revenue opportunities, through what the social network calls revenue sharing. “Creators and publishers are at the heart of entertainment on TikTok,” reads an official statement. “With TikTok Pulse, we will begin exploring our first ad revenue sharing program with creators, public figures and media publishers. Creators and publishers with at least 100,000 followers will be eligible early on in this program.” The program mirrors the way YouTube pays its users who decide to put small ad clips in the videos and could lead to more significant payments on the platform, still looking for a clear and stable idea about monetizing the most successful posts. . TikTok will share 50% of Pulse’s ad revenue with approved creators. A decisive step forward compared to the current “Creator Fund”, which is not based on net percentages of revenue per clicks and shares, a modus operandi that has often led creators to affirm that the program offered minimum and unstable payments, unlike of competition.

According to Sandie Hawkins, General Manager of TikTok, Pulse will launch in June in the US, with more markets coming this fall. (HANDLE).
