A small group of creators and collectors will be able to share what they have created or bought. In practice, US users will be able to post the NFTs they have created, by connecting third-party digital wallets in-app. These digital objects will be displayed in a special, more vividly colored mode, and the content will be attributed to both the author and the owner. As of launch, supported blockchains include Ethereum and Polygon. To follow, Flow and Solana will also arrive; while compatible third party wallets for use will be Rainbow, MetaMask and Trust Wallet. Coinbase, Dapper and Phantom will arrive later.
There will be no costs associated with posting or sharing an NFT on Instagram.
