(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 13 – Sony has officially unveiled Xperia 1 IV, what the company defines as the first smartphone in the world with a true optical zoom. The Japanese giant has used all its experience in the field of photography to create the new Xperia 1 IV, with a series of options derived directly from the home sector of professional cameras, such as the Sony Alpha. In addition to an 85-125 mm optical zoom lens, the Xperia 1 IV allows shooting in 4K at 120 fps, live streaming capabilities, Real-time Eye AF, Real-time Tracking for all lenses and Optical SteadyShot with FlawlessEye, or technologies which can usually be found on devices dedicated to photos and videos and not smartphones. Just like camera zooms, the phone can vary the aperture by various levels to capture more or less light. With the announcement, Sony has shared the spec sheet of the Xperia 1 IV, which will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30 Watt charging.

Unfortunately, wireless charging is missing and the charger and USB-c cable will not be present in the phone package. The display is a 6.5-inch 4K Amoled with 120 Hz refresh rate, while the photographic department is made up of four lenses: 12 MP main lens, 12 MP telephoto lens, 12 MP ultra-wide angle and ToF 3D unit. On the front, a 12 MP selfie camera. In pre-order from today, the smartphone can be purchased in two different configurations, with 12 gb of ram and storage of 256 or 512 gb, at the base price of 1,399 euros. (HANDLE).
