The ophthalmologist recounted his experience in a post published on LinkedIn, a post then spotted by our colleagues at 9to5Mac.

Doctor Tommy Korn therefore received a patient who suffered from a serious eye problem. Such a problem that he had to undergo a cornea transplant.

Following the operation, the patient returned several times for consultation in order to have a complete follow-up of the operation. The doctor then asked him for permission to take a photo of his eye with his iPhone 13 Pro Max in order to be able to more easily visualize the evolution of the transplant over time.

The patient agreed and Dr. Tommy Korn teamed up with optometrist Jeffrey Lewis to perform this little experiment.

A paid experience

An experience that has obviously been conclusive. In his post, the doctor explains that he was very impressed by the precision of the images obtained with the iPhone 13 Pro Max. And if it obviously does not equal that of specialized tools, it generates images sufficiently detailed to be used by specialists.
