The company explains this in its periodic report on the application of community standards, specifying that the result is due to the ” improvement and expansion of proactive sensing technology “. On Instagram, on the other hand, in the period considered, the company acted on 1.8 million drug contents, up from 1.2 million compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 and also saw an increase in the proactive detection rate of bullying content. and harassment from 58.8% in Q4 2021 to 67% in Q1 2022.

“Over the years we have invested in technology to improve how we can detect content that violates community standards. With these advances we knew we would make mistakes, so it was equally important to invest in perfecting our policies, too. our application and the tools we give to users, ”explains Guy Rosen, VP of Integrity.

The company also announces the Transparency report for the last six months of 2021, which shows that requests for user data by the global government have increased by 2% from 211,055 to 214,777. Of the total volume, the United States continues to submit the largest number of applications, followed by India, Germany, France, Brazil and the United Kingdom. In the period considered, it also identified 38 outages of Facebook services in 12 countries, compared to 62 outages in 17 countries in the first half of 2021. (ANSA).
