Logitech, the number 1 in accessories dedicated to office automation, has just lifted the veil on two new products. The Swiss brand enriches its catalog with a new mechanical keyboard, the MX Mechanicaland a new mouse, the MX Master 3S. Between tradition and evolution, the offer is aimed above all at professionals, Logitech’s core target, looking for silent tools.
Logitech MX Mechanical: the ultimate mechanical keyboard for professionals
The MX Mechanical kicks off a new line of keyboards from Logitech. The accessory is indeed inserted between the brand’s ergonomic keyboards, such as the ERGO K860, and the more minimalist solutions intended for professional users. The offer is aimed at workers who value the experience of a mechanical keyboard.
Very close to the MX Keys, the MX Mechanical is available in two versions : a standard edition with integrated numeric keypad and a mini version. Logitech also offers buyers of choose the type of mechanical switches (the switch placed under each key) that they prefer.
The brand allows you to choose between three different switches : silent, linear and clicky tactile. Each option offers a different feel when typing. If the noise of the keys tends to annoy you, we recommend the silent option instead.
The MX Mechanical offers a completely wireless experience. The keyboard can be connected to a Mac or Windows computer, a tablet or a smartphone using Bluetooth. A Bluetooth receiver is also included in the box. The icing on the cake, it is possible to switch from one device to another in a few seconds thanks to the EasySwitch function.
Unsurprisingly, the mechanical keyboard has backlit keys. As is already the case on the Logitech Craft, the lighting turns on automatically as soon as you approach your hands. It is possible to customize the way the backlight works, like on keyboards intended for gamers. Logitech announces 15 days of autonomy with a single charge. If the backlight is off, battery endurance jumps up to 10 months.
With the MX Master 3S mouse, Logitech refines its recipe
The MX Master 3S succeeds the MX Master 3 announced in 2019. Building on the success of the previous model, Logitech is content to use the same recipe. The design of the mouse is completely identical to the old version. The brand nevertheless improves the accessory with silent clicksin order to avoid extraneous noise, and a new optical sensor scroll rate of 8000 DPI. According to Logitech, this sensor guarantees a “precise tracking on almost any surface, even glass”.
The company announces battery life of up to 70 days with a single battery charge. In addition, the mouse incorporates a recharging technology that allows you to recover 3 hours of autonomy in just one minute of recharging. It also benefits from the Easy Switch functionality.
