(ANSA) – ROME, 01 JUN – After the multi-device function and the reactions to messages, a long-awaited news is about to arrive on WhatsApp: the modification of messages. Digging into the code of the latest beta of WhatsApp for Android, the specialized site WaBetaInfo has discovered that the development team is working on the introduction of a button that allows you to edit messages after sending them. At the moment it is not clear when the function will be implemented, we have been talking about it since 2017, but from a screenshot published on the site we understand how it could work: click on the message you want to correct in order to select it; then you click on the 3-dot menu and then on the Edit function, which will probably translate into ‘Edit’ in Italian. From the photo it is not clear if there will be a time window for the modification and if the modified messages will be somehow highlighted. (HANDLE).
