WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will greatly simplify the management of vocals. We will explain everything to you.

Vocals are on the rise, especially with younger generations. And if you have a middle school or high school student at home, then you must have realized that. It must also be said that it is hard to miss.

Whatsapp has put together quite a few options to make our life easier. Like that allowing to modify the reading speed of a message and to increase it to 1.5 or even 2x.

WhatsApp wants to simplify voice management

But obviously, the developers of the solution are preparing other surprises for the next versions of the tool. By digging into the latest beta, WABetaInfo has indeed discovered that they were preparing the implementation of a voice message reader.

And to understand its interest, the best is undoubtedly to review the functioning of voice messages at the present time.

For now, voicemail messages are associated with conversations. When you want to listen to a voicemail message, you must therefore first open the chat and tap on the message bubble. WhatsApp then launches its reading. You then have the option of changing its speed or ironing it.

A unified reader to never lose track

With this new reader, the situation will be a little different. As our colleagues explain, the latter will work a bit on the picture-in-picture model and it will thus allow us to listen to our voices without having to keep the associated conversation open.

Concretely, therefore, it will be possible to start playing a voice and change the discussion, while continuing to read the message.

Thanks to this system, you will be able to juggle between your different exchanges without losing track of the one you are monitoring. A function that will take on its full meaning with long vocals, or even with a series of several vocals.

Other functions to come

On the other hand, it is important to note that this function is still being tested and it is of course unknown when it will be extended to the final version of the application. Not even if it will be.

This is not the only function on which the WhatsApp teams are working. The application should indeed soon allow us to read a voice recorded by us before sending, which was not possible until now.

It can therefore be seen that the modernization effort undertaken by the owners of the tool is continuing.
