Amazon invests in Italy with another 3,000 jobs

The move will bring total resources to over 17,000 more in 50 locations in Italy. On average, since inception in 2010, Amazon has created more than 26 permanent jobs each week.

“Since 2010, Amazon has invested over 8.7 billion euros in Italy for its growth and to support the country’s digitization,” said Lorenzo Barbo, head of Amazon Italy Logistics. “Investments that have generated new quality jobs that are contributing to the growth of the economy”.

The American giant recently announced its intention to support the more than 18,000 Italian small and medium-sized enterprises that sell on its platforms, creating more than 50,000 jobs in Italy and achieving 1.2 billion euros in annual sales abroad. by 2025. A concrete contribution to achieving the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan by offering, at the same time, a wider availability of original Italian products to customers all over the world. In 2022, Amazon obtained, for the second consecutive year, the Top Employer Italia certification, which recognizes the quality of the work environment, training opportunities and career plans offered to employees.
