(ANSA) – MILAN, June 27 – Apple’s viewer should arrive in January 2023. The forecast comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has always been close to the facts regarding the Cupertino giant. In a post on the Medium blog platform, Kuo explained that Apple’s headsets will be a “game changer” for the augmented and virtual reality market. Describing some of the features, the analyst said that while Apple has repeatedly touted its focus on augmented reality, through the introduction of the Lidar sensor on iPhones, the headset “will offer a full virtual experience, including a transparent mode” for non detach attention from the surrounding environment. Something similar is in the plans of Meta-Facebook, which in recent days has taken stock of the work in virtual and augmented technologies and on the “pass-through” mode that allows you to switch from a vision of 3D worlds to a real one, without removing the viewers. Kuo also believes that Apple will become a leader in the mixed reality sector, also thanks to rumored collaborations with film studios for the creation of high-quality content designed specifically for its devices. In particular, the analyst thinks that rivals will compete to mimic the Cupertino ecosystem once it is launched, “bringing the hardware industry to a phase of rapid growth”. A previous report by DigiTimes, stated that Apple had finished testing the headsets in February 2022, planning to start mass production between August or September. The accessory is expected to feature a lightweight design, dual 4K Oled micro displays, 15 optical modules, dual processors, 6E Wi-Fi connectivity, eye and object detection, and gesture and hand control. The approximate expected price is around $ 3,000. (HANDLE).
