(ANSA-AFP) – LONDON, 04 JUL – The British army’s Twitter and Youtube accounts have suffered a hacker attack, reports the London Ministry of Defense in a statement.
“We are aware of a violation of the military’s Twitter and YouTube accounts and an investigation has been opened. The military takes cyber security very seriously and we are solving the problem,” the ministry wrote on Twitter. “Until the investigation is over, it would be inappropriate to comment further,” he added.
Videos on the crypto-currency and images of Elon Musk appeared on the army’s Youtube channel, while the official Twitter profile retweeted messages apparently linked to the NFT.
The British army then apologized on Twitter itself for the “temporary interruption” and announced the resumption of the service. “We will conduct a full investigation and learn from this incident,” he assured. (ANSA-AFP).
